We spent years finding places that only tolerated our pups, so we made the kind of stay we always wanted: welcoming, well-designed, and quietly thoughtful. Everything is ready before you arrive, so you can simply settle in and unwind.

We weren’t looking for a place that tolerated our dogs. We wanted somewhere that actually wanted them there — oceanfront, well-designed, thoughtful — where the dog bed wasn’t an afterthought shoved in a corner and the pet fee didn’t feel like a punishment for loving your animal.
That place didn’t exist. So we built it.
From the first welcome to the last beach walk, here’s how it feels to stay at Salty Paw.
Genuinely welcome. Salty Paw exists because we couldn’t find stays that actually wanted our dogs there. Both properties are set up for your pup before you arrive, from the dog bed to the bowls to the welcome kit.
Dog bowls, a comfortable dog bed, and a welcome kit are ready and waiting, along with an optional crate, furniture-protection sheets if your pup likes to get up on the furniture, and dog stairs for easy access up and down. We think about the things you didn’t know to ask for, because we’ve been the guest who needed them. If your dog has specific needs, just let us know.
Both stays are oceanfront at Patricia Grand Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC. Lil’ Salty is on the 7th floor and The Salty Monkey is on the 15th, so you can choose your view and settle right in near the sand.

There’s a fair pet policy, never a punishment for traveling with family. Dogs are welcome for a $40 per pet, per night fee (up to 7 nights); we’re unable to accommodate cats, reptiles, or birds. Some breed restrictions apply per our HOA, and all pets must be approved by the host before arrival. For specifics about your pup, or if you’re traveling with more than one dog, reach out and we’ll happily talk it through.
Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM. You’ll receive detailed check-in instructions directly from us before you arrive, so there’s nothing to guess at when you get here.
Yes. Your stay includes two free parking passes in the garage across the street. Motorcycles are welcome with a pass, and if you’re traveling with a larger vehicle, just let us know ahead of time so we can help plan parking.
Absolutely. Alongside being genuinely dog-friendly, both units are equipped for little ones too, with a pack n’ play travel crib, baby high chair, kids’ dinnerware, and books and toys on hand. Please note the units are not childproofed, so parents and caregivers should keep an eye on young children during their stay. It’s an easy stay for couples, small families, and dogs alike.
Cancel more than 30 days before arrival for a full refund, 14–30 days out for a partial refund, and within 14 days for no refund. If you booked through a third-party platform like Airbnb or Vrbo, their cancellation policy applies instead. During hurricane season (June–November), we recommend travel insurance for peace of mind — refunds are issued for unused nights only in the event of a mandatory evacuation.
